Frequently asked questions

Everything people usually ask about the Rogue Tap card, the Google Review card, and the TripAdvisor card. Can't find your answer? Get in touch.

Rogue Tap, generally
What is Rogue Tap?+

Rogue Tap is a reusable tap-to-share card. Tap it against the back of any modern phone and whatever's set up on it - your contact details, a Google Review link, or a TripAdvisor link - opens straight away. Nothing to scan, no app for the other person to download.

Do I need an app to use it?+

No. Neither you nor the person tapping needs to install anything. It works using NFC, the same tap technology used for contactless payments.

Does it work on both Android and iPhone?+

Yes - the same card works on modern Android phones and iPhones. On iPhone the customer taps a button to save the details or open the link; on Android it can happen automatically as soon as they tap.

What if someone's phone doesn't tap or NFC is turned off?+

Almost all phones from the last several years have NFC built in, though it can occasionally be switched off in settings. If a tap doesn't work first time, ask them to check NFC is on, or try holding the card against a different part of the phone - the reader is usually near the top or centre of the back.

Can I change what's on my card later?+

Yes, if you're on a subscription. Send us your updated details and we'll rewrite the same card - changed job, number or company, nothing to reprint or throw away.

The business card
What information can go on my card?+

Full name, job title, company, mobile phone, email, website, and your Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn links. You can fill in as many or as few as you like.

How do I order one?+

Head to the order page, fill in your details, and you'll see a preview of exactly what will be on your card before anything is sent through to us.

Can I put more than one phone number on it?+

The card carries a single phone number, so whoever taps it gets one clear number to call - no confusion over which one to use. If your number changes, just let us know and we'll update the card.

Google Review card
What does the Google Review card do?+

One tap takes your customer straight to your Google Review page - no searching for your business name, no typing. Available as a pocket card or a countertop plate for your till.

Do I need to set anything up myself?+

No - just give us your Google Review link when you order (or leave it blank and we'll look it up for you), and we'll set the card up ready to go.

Can one card handle both my contact details and reviews?+

Each card is set up for one job - contact details, Google Reviews, or TripAdvisor - so the tap always takes people exactly where you want, first time. Most businesses order a contact card for themselves and a separate review card or till plate for customers.

TripAdvisor card
What does the TripAdvisor card do?+

The same idea as the Google Review card, but it opens your TripAdvisor review page instead - great for anywhere TripAdvisor matters more than Google, like hospitality and tourism.

Can I get a till plate instead of a card?+

Yes - both the Google Review and TripAdvisor options are available as a pocket-sized card or a countertop plate, whichever suits how customers pay or check out with you.
